Managing and Adapting Practice

The MAP system was designed to address a concrete problem encountered in modern behavioral healthcare - improving outcomes and quality of care for children and adolescents from ages 2 - 19.

MAP uses several decision and practice support tools to assist in the selection, review, adaptation, or construction of promising treatments to match a particular child’s characteristics based on the latest scientific findings.

The MAP system is designed to improve the quality, efficiency, and outcomes of children’s mental health services by giving the mental health workers easy access to the most current scientific information and by providing user-friendly monitoring tools and clinical protocols. Using an online database, the system can suggest formal evidence-based programs that can provide detailed recommendations about discrete components of evidence-based treatments relevant to a specific child’s characteristics.

MAP has proved successful with children and adults who have emotional problems such as anxiety, depression, disruptive behavior, PTSD, et al.
